HERITAGE MEETS CULTURE. CULTURE MOVES THE STORY FORWARD.
We’re proud to welcome photographer and director Yonathan Mesfun to Curated Artists.
Known as @juscallmeshoots_, Yonathan brings a documentary sensibility to fashion, streetwear, and everyday life. His photographs and films explore Black culture, East African heritage, and diaspora storytelling through the people, clothing, and places that carry those stories forward.
There’s a distinct feeling in his work: individuality without isolation. People belong to themselves, but they also belong to something larger—a neighborhood, a generation, a shared history.
From the tailoring and camaraderie of Gentlemen to the expressive styling of Denim Boyz and the draped textures of Netela on Netela, he pairs cultural detail with an eye for gesture, texture, and connection.
His selected brand work includes True Religion, Telfar, Reebok, and Heirport. Across editorial and commercial projects, his perspective stays rooted in the people who give the clothes—and the story—meaning.
That’s what drew us to Yonathan: a clear visual voice, cultural depth, and a way of making images that feel lived in.
Welcome to Curated Artists, Yonathan.
